Joydeep Ganguly joined Agilent in October 2025 as senior vice president, Agilent Global Operations, and Chief Operations and Quality Officer. In this role, he is responsible for Agilent's worldwide manufacturing network strategy, supply chain, engineering and manufacturing sciences, quality assurance and regulatory functions.
Before joining Agilent, Ganguly spent nearly a decade at Gilead Sciences, most recently serving as senior vice president of corporate operations and Chief Sustainability Officer, and interim Chief Information Officer. At Gilead, he led enterprise-wide operations, procurement, engineering, facilities and transformation initiatives, overseeing multibillion-dollar capital programs, driving operational cost reductions and advancing the company's sustainability commitments. Before that, he spent 10 years at Biogen in technical operations, manufacturing and supply chain leadership roles, including global vice president of manufacturing and technical operations, after beginning his career as an engineer at Bayer Corp.
Ganguly has published extensively on operations transformation and supply chain innovation and has been recognized for his contributions to advanced biopharmaceutical manufacturing. He has served as board chair of the Gilead Foundation and as a board member of the Biogen Foundation. He currently serves on the boards of Bay Area Council and Biocom and is a trustee at Town School for Boys. He also serves on the board of advisors for Culture Biosciences and on the advisory council for North Carolina State University's operations and technology program.
He holds a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University, an MBA from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the College of Engineering Pune.
