The series features two variants: The InsightBLS identifies hazards in nonmetallic containers, and Insight300M (a next generation upgrade to the Insight200M) identifies threat materials in both metallic and nonmetallic containers. Both systems use spatially offset Raman spectroscopy (SORS)—a unique technology that identifies chemicals through opaque barriers.
